At Swanbourne House, we recognise the importance of food and nutrition for your child’s physical, mental and social development. We are committed to serving fresh, healthy and varied food to every pupil, every day.

Our catering team prepare all meals on site in our kitchen. We operate a three week rotational menu to ensure that our pupils are offered a variety of foods from a range of different cuisines. All meals at the Prep school are served in the Main House dining hall. Pupils and staff sit together on tables, engaging in friendly conversation and and staff encourage pupils to use proper table manners. In the Pre-Prep all meals are prepared in the same way in our kitchen but are served down at the Pre-Prep site.

We also serve match teas on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday afternoons after our sports fixtures. These teas consist for parents of sandwiches and cakes with tea and coffee and are very popular with parents who stop by for a catch up with other parents after watching their child in a match. Our pupils eat their match tea- a cooked meal of sausages and chips or something similar- with pupils from the visiting school. At the end of each term, staff and pupils in the winning House are treated to the League Feast; a formal dinner for which pupils have a chance to dress up. The annual House BBQ is held in the Summer Term which is a very popular event, especially if the sun is shining!
